A quality silver Compass and Square Past Master's neck Jewel.
The Jewel comprises of a normal Compass and Square, with a suspended "G".
The top portion of the compass has engraving of a Celtic design.

The Jewel is suspended from a small gilt plaque,
which depicts a Compass and Square, with the name and number of the Lodge,
"Victoria Lodge No. 212" in white enamel on the circumference.
The reverse of the Jewel bears the inscription :
"Presented to
W.Bro.........................P.M.
by the Brethren of Victoria
Masonic Lodge No. 212
Dundalk,
Worshipful Master ........ & ........
January ........."
The Maker's Mark on the reverse of Jewel is "SG".
Short History of Warrant No. 212.
Warrant No. 212 issued to brethren in KINSALE, County Cork, on the 2nd August, 1750 but was removed to The ROYAL DOWNSHIRE MILITIA [see footnote to this section}, on the 10th January, 1795 to be subsequently cancelled by Order of Grand Lodge on the 7th October, 1813.
Warrant No. 212 reissued to brethren in GLENAVY, County Antrim, on the 4th June, 1818, in lieu of Warrant No. 428. Warrant No. 212 was cancelled on the 6th February, 1845.
Warrant No. 212 reissued to `Lodge of Mona' in CASTLETOWN, Isle of Man on the 8th June, 1857 and was Sent in on the 6th December, 1888.

History of Victoria Lodge No. 212, 1897 - to date.
The Minutes of the Grand Lodge Board of General Purposes dated 1st March, 1897 show concerning Warrant No. 212 -
"1 March, 1897 - Read Memorial from Bros. Logan, Morrison, Whan and eight others praying for a Warrant to establish a Lodge in Dundalk. Recommended by Lodges 352, 354 and 411 and by the P.G. Lodge of Armagh. Regular fee enclosed. The Board recommended the issue of a Warrant to the applicants to be numbered 212."
The Recommendation of The Board was followed, as is shown in the Grand Lodge Minutes of 4th March, 1897 as "Confirmed"
The Founder Members of Lodge No. 212 presented a very elaborate manuscript form of Memorial for a new Warrant to hold a Lodge at Dundalk to be called “Victoria” Lodge. The Memorial was signed by eleven Brethren from various Lodges and it nominated Robert P.T. Logan (P.M. 47) as first W.M., Frank S. Morrison (384) as S.W., and Samuel Whan (384) as J.W. The Memorial was recommended by Lodges 384 and 411 and the Provincial Grand Lodge of Armagh.

“27th April, 1897 The Provincial Grand Lodge of Armagh being summoned by authority of the R.W. the P.G.M. to dedicate & constitute “Victoria” Lodge No. 212 met at 4.30 p.m. in Freemasons’ Hall, Dundalk.

Bro. Geo. Priestly, as P.J.G.W.

The Lodge opened in Due Form on the 1st Degree, when letter from Deputy Grand Secretary being read dated 8th March, 1897 advising that a Warrant was granted for Lodge Dundalk, 28th April, 1897.
“Victoria” Lodge 212 was then dedicated and the authorised W.M. Bro. Robert Patrick J. Logan, P.P.S.G. Warden, Armagh & Prov. Gd. Inspector, Armagh, was duly installed whereupon he installed the authorised Senior & Junior Wardens, Bro. F.S. Morrison & S. Whan, & the other Officers designated. [A printed programme of the Constitution ceremony was attached to the Minutes.]
The Brethren were invited to a Luncheon at William’s Hotel.
The Lodge closed in Peace Love & Harmony.

The Minutes of the Grand Lodge Board of General Purposes dated 3rd May 1897 show concerning Lodge No. 212 -
"3 May, 1897 – Read an Application from Victoria Lodge 212 Dundalk for permission to adopt as a device for the apron a Silver Crown. That device being used by Lodge 4 Dublin the Board cannot approve of its adoption."
Victoria Lodge No. 212 was represented at the Memorial Service, conducted on 10th October, 1910 by the Lord Primate in St. Mary's Church, Newry, in memory of the late Bro. Dr. F.C.Crossle.
Series four Vol. 13 of the extant Grand Lodge Registers shows a list of twenty-three brethren clearly transcribed, including their occupations, from the previous volume. A total of 102 brethren registered up to 25th September, 1923. In most cases the dates when the issue of certificates is shown, together with the occupation of the brother.
Three members served of Victoria Lodge No. 212 in the 1914 -18 War and all returned.
Series five Vol. 18 shown as Vol. 2 of the extant Grand Lodge Register commences with the registration of William T.J. Lambert, Clerk, registered 25th March, 1924.
A total of 54 brethren registered up to 9th December, 1952. In most cases the dates when the issue of certificates is shown, together with the occupation of the brother.
Series six Vol. 21 of the extant Grand Lodge Register commences with the registration of Goodlett J.E. Wilson, Marine Engineer, registered 19th June, 1953.
A total of 19 brethren registered up to 1st May, 1973. In most cases the dates when the issue of certificates is shown, together with the occupation of the brother.
Victoria Lodge No. 212 celebrated its 100th Anniversary in 1997.
In 2008 The Worshipful Master and Officers of Victoria Lodge No. 212 were invited to the Isle of Man by the Members of Mona Lodge to celebrate the 200th Anniversary of the Lodge under the Jurisdiction of the U.G.L.E. - The said lodge being having Laboured as Lodge of Mona No. 212 under the Grand Lodge of Ireland until 6th December, 1888.

From 1984 the registration of members of Victoria Lodge No. 212 is held, in alphabetical order, in a computerised register by Grand Lodge, Freemasons’ Hall, 17 Molesworth Street, Dublin 2. The Registration of the Worshipful Master, Wardens and Secretary of Lodges are held in separate Registers, the first Volume covering the period 1983 to 1994 inclusive and the second Volume covering from 1995 to date.
